when designing this lighting system, s&p faced the challenge to create a new version of a successful standard light solution for office spaces that combines direct and indirect light.

using the t5 fluorescent light source an innovative light concept of the ‘light-chambers’ produced an extremely compact and efficient product.

the thin appearance, minimal design language and the use of translucent plastics for the wing like reflectors, contrasting aluminium castings are the characteristic design elements. the ml4 is zumtobel‘s most sold product of the early 2000’s with over sold.
